We [the Many] Ting Self is a critique of visual communication design education in the majority world, specifically in Trinidad and Tobago. Hear Nah is an abridged version of the thesis that shares the main essays in an approachable format. The thesis explores the perspectives of design education as taught from a Eurocentric perspective which enforces structures that tend to be prejudiced and discriminatory against indigenous ways of making and creating, due to its entangled history.

It provokes the idea that design education in previously colonized countries should include theories such as decoloniality and plurality to explore and promote indigenous ways of making and creating. With the aim to provide an example of how designers from and in the majority world can continue to integrate their local design language into their practice.
